A Healthy Diet Plan for the Proteinuria Patients!

Proteinuria happens when your kidneys are not able to withhold the large molecules of protein which slips along with the urine. Proteinuria means protein in the urine. Your kidneys are the only organ responsible for filtering nutrients from the blood and eliminating the waste. They allow the nutrients and minerals like protein to stay in the blood to help in the overall development of the body. In the absence of protein, the body is not able to grow properly and you find it difficult living an ordinary life.

Proteinuria is also called albuminuria as albumin is the type of protein that your blood loses when having proteinuria. Although everyone has a little bit of protein in their urine, when the level of protein increases, you may notice foam or bubbles in the urine. Proteinuria Ayurvedic treatment lets the patient get over the condition naturally without the dependency on allopathic medications.

Proteinuria is a risk factor also associated with the excess production of protein in the body.

• Glomerulonephritis

A Healthy Diet for Proteinuria

For treating proteinuria, it is necessary to look after the underlying conditions that caused kidney damage. Diabetes and hypertension are the two conditions associated with the damaged filters of the kidneys. The bloodstream inside the kidneys, when they don’t get enough blood flow or when the blood flow is too high because of blood pressure, they become capable of filtering intendedly. So, it is always important to take a diet that prevents blood sugar and blood pressure level from rising.

Excess consumption of protein is also related to the increasing flow of protein along with the urine. A renal diet is a part of the proteinuria ayurvedic treatment and should be properly followed.

The steps to eating right during proteinuria:

• Prepare foods with less salt - To control blood pressure levels, one must choose foods that are low in sodium. Sodium is bound to affect your blood pressure, and a healthcare provider never suggests taking more than 2300 mg of sodium each day. To mark your sodium and salt intake, look for the products that have less sodium, avoid consuming packed or frozen foods, use sodium-free seasonings, rinse vegetables and fruits before consuming or you can also try leaching.

• Eat the right types of protein in the right quantity - When you consume protein, your body uses the quantity it needs and leftovers are then passed to the kidneys for elimination. This is the job of the kidneys to remove such waste and eating more protein-related food will make your kidneys to work with more effort. Try including a small portion of protein in your diet and consult your healthcare provider whether you can eat animal or plant sources of food.  A diet during the proteinuria treatment in Ayurveda helps the patient to release the condition naturally.

The sources of animal protein:

• Chicken
• Fish
• Meat
• Eggs

• Fruits and vegetables
• Corn cereals
• Bread
• Pasta

• Dairy products
• Meat
